Starting in 2027:
Salem Wildwood Acres offers exclusive, self-guided access to roughly 170 acres of pristine Washington County land managed specifically for low-pressure Whitetail deer and wild turkey hunting. To protect the land and maintain peak game movement, we limit property access to a single independent hunting party at a time. Each lease includes access to established trail networks, main-floor master suite lodging at our private log cabin, and a dedicated pre-season scouting weekend scheduled one month prior to your hunt.
Our fall Whitetail deer program is structured around two premium seven-day hunting blocks designed to capture the best of the season without over-pressuring the herd. Group A takes the field during the peak rut for an exclusive bow hunt, while Group B hosts the opening week of firearms season. Rates begin at $4,000 for a two-person, 7 day hunt with main-floor lodge accommodations included and a scouting weekend one month prior. A mandatory multi-day quiet period completely isolates the property between groups, ensuring the woods reset and game patterns return to normal.
Spring turkey hunting focuses on low-impact, high-reward four-day blocks during the peak of the gobbler season. We host only two groups each spring on Wednesday through Saturday rotations, leaving a multi-day quiet window between hunts so birds remain vocal and active. Group 1 hunts the opening stretch of the season, while Group 2 takes the mid-season block. Rates begin at $1,000 for a two-person hunt, which covers full lodge accommodation and a scouting weekend.
To protect our habitat and ensure top-tier hunting quality year after year, all lease holders must adhere to strict property guidelines. Deer hunters are limited to mature bucks (recommended 120"+ rack size) and state bag limits, while spring turkey hunts are capped at a maximum of two bearded gobblers per two-person group. Off-road vehicles and ATVs are allowed but restricted to established farm trails and primary logging roads to minimize disturbance. Hunters are encouraged to hang trail cameras during their pre-season scouting weekend, but all personal cameras, climbing stands, and ground blinds must be removed at the conclusion of your hunting week.
All leases include dedicated, private accommodations featuring our main-floor primary suite with a private bathroom inside our log lodge. Common areas—such as the full kitchen, spacious living room, and outdoor game processing station—may occasionally be shared with off-site hunters, but property access is strictly exclusive to your group during your hunt. To preserve the cabin environment, absolutely no game processing or gutting is permitted inside the lodge or on the porch. Because our game is wild and free-ranging, harvests are never guaranteed; however, if your party does not harvest a deer or turkey during your stay, you may request an additional courtesy weekend hunt at no extra access cost, subject to calendar availability and property rest windows.
All hunters are responsible for purchasing their own valid Indiana hunting licenses and required state stamps prior to arrival, and all hunts must strictly comply with Indiana DNR regulations. Master commercial land-use insurance coverage is included with all bookings, and all hunters must sign a standard Liability Waiver prior to access. To reserve your dates, a 50% deposit is due at booking, with the remaining 50% balance collected during your scheduled pre-season scouting weekend.
